In September 1990, Pete & Sherry Boeda opened the first Bean Around The World store in the heart of the seaside community of West Vancouver, British Columbia. They imported beans from around the world; roasted and brewed them in-store to ensure their customers were getting the freshest coffee around.
The high demand for fresh-roasted coffee created the Cowboy Coffee Roasting Company Ltd. Cowboy Coffee operates under the ownership, guidance, and expertise of Barney McKenzie and Pete Boeda - and continues to roast proudly for all Bean Around The World and Cowboy Coffee retail stores sprinkled all over beautiful British Columbia! Additionally, many other independent coffee houses and restaurants boast the taste of Bean.
